Royal Society Summer Exhibition
The Royal Society chose Lockerbie Academy to be the school partner for the 2014 Summer Science Exhibition in London. A group of 17 students with supporting staff spent 7 days presenting our work to around 15,000 members of the public, school groups, scientists and Fellows of the Royal Society.
The days were long and tiring, but very rewarding, and all returned home proud of what they had achieved.
Two evening soirees were held for invited guests at which the students presented their work. Many of the guests were Fellows of the Royal Society.
We also took part in the Dumfries and Galloway Science Festival in May 2016.
