During the first year at Lockerbie Academy, we build on the Spanish skills and knowledge learned in Primary to develop effective communication and build confidence.

Pupils are assessed on the four key skill areas: reading, writing, listening and talking. We have provided some useful websites to help pupils practice key skill areas at home.

Pupils are also given the opportunity to develop and enhance their meta skills during their language lessons and wider achievement opportunities.
