Wild West
In this unit you will work as a class team to present a performance to an audience. This performance is set in the wild west of America and allows you to develop your acting and movement skills. There will also be opportunities for pupils to work on sound and lighting as well as designing and making a prop. This unit covers meta skills of communication, collaboration and creativity.
Performance Analysis - Newsies The Musical
In this unit you will learn about all the different backstage areas in more detail - lighting, sound, costume, props, make-up and hair and set. By watching the broadway show you will learn to analyse these in performance, developing opinions on theatre. These skills will be useful later on if you choose to continue with Drama at Higher and Advanced Higher level.
S2 Production - Sweeney Todd
In this unit you will work again as a class team to stage a production of "Sweeney Todd". Looking again at tension, atmosphere, genre and conventions you will be able to choose to work as an actor or as a backstage role.
